Instead of aWalk Through, how about a Walk-In? Building the culture in your school requires establishing relationships. It's hard to get to everyone and develop personal relationships; it takes commitment and time, but it is so worth it! When teachers feel that you genuinely care about who they are, what they do and how they feel, they feel valued and important. The data says that people who feel appreciated, work harder. What better way to give them the sense of appreciation by giving them your time? Look at your master schedule and develop a template of when staff has a break. Make an effort to stop by (yes, everyone!!) and check in on them. Ask them a few questions that build a personal relationship.
